About my online identity
Social software is now a must-have mobile software. The popularity of social software represents an easier and more accessible way for people to connect with others. We can let others know more about us by sharing our lives and feelings. My most common software is WeChat, and almost everyone in China has downloaded WeChat.

I use WeChat to chat with my friends almost every day. I will create my favorite name and use my favorite picture as my avatar. I think people can make a preliminary judgment on a person by using WeChat name and avatar. My WeChat name is my Chinese name and English name, because I think this will allow my friends to remember me better. My avatar is a comic character that I like because it looks cute and very kind. I will also write out where I am now, let everyone know where I am.

Every day, I chat or contact with my friends through WeChat. Sometimes it may be about a recent TV show or a star we like very much. Sometimes I have a problem with my study, and I can also give it to my classmates in time. ask. I often share my life, such as I went to a delicious restaurant today or where I traveled today, etc. My friends can learn about me through my circle of friends. They can also ask me about things I have experienced, I will tell them my thoughts seriously and give corresponding suggestions. My friends and I will often interact in the online community and I can see their sharing. I can comment on their published articles and express their opinions.
I also use Twitter when I do. Below is the home page of my Twitter.

I will do some simple self-introduction. For example, my name and what I like. Anyone who watches my homepage can have a simple understanding of me. I will also put my own photos and let everyone see what I look like. This also allows everyone to have a simple understanding of me.
WeChat can only be seen between friends, but with Twitter, even strangers can see what they are posting. So in the online community of WeChat, I will share a lot of more intimate things, but on Twitter, I may hide a lot of real information about myself. Because the Internet is not particularly safe, privacy information is likely to be leaked. Even so, I am still very happy to share my experience, let everyone see my Twitter, I hope everyone can see good things can be happy. I want to bring happiness to everyone through social software.
According to Chadwick, DD & Fullwood, C (2018, P56), the Internet is a good place for people to communicate freely. Although some people’s online identity may not be particularly consistent with the real self, most people are still willing to share their thoughts and feelings. The advantage of using social software is to protect the harmonious relationship between friends and family. For example(Chadwick, DD & Fullwood, C 2018, P57), the author invited several Internet users and interviewed them. The interview questions are mainly about online contact and sharing of opportunities for interaction with others and online links. The results show that interviewers chatting online with family and friends are very happy online activities. People with identification can accumulate and maintain interpersonal relationships online, and enrich their lives through emotional contact with others.
Because I am not in the same country as my family, I usually use WeChat. I will share the difficulties I have encountered with my family. Sometimes I will share my decisions and I hope to get their support. I will shape my true character on the web. I hope my friends and family know me better. I think that online identity can also hide parts that I don’t want others to see. I can share what I want you to see through online identity and hide my shortcomings. I think this is a good advantage. You don’t need to let everyone see the true self, just share good things. If family and friends see good things happening in my life, they won’t worry too much about me.
I really like to use social software, and my online identity is just as good and kind as my own. There may be occasional unhappiness, but I will control my mood. I hope that I can do my best to bring happiness to others. Maybe I have a lot of shortcomings in my own right, but I can hide it through the Internet and try to make friends and family see the good side. I also often contact my friends to maintain relationships. I think online identity is like another myself on the web. I can shape people who are completely different from the real ones, and can also shape a person like the real one. You can do good things and do bad things. But I personally like to use online identity, which can make my life more fulfilling.
